Happy Pink Saturday

Well hello again. Happy Pink Saturday to you all. Thank you to the lovely Beverly over at How Sweet the Sound for hosting again. Take a visit to see more lovely pinkness :)

We haven't had that much to be pink about these last few days so I thought I'd share these flowers I saw in the Biblical Gardens in Elgin last month. I know they look a bit purple, but in real life they are a stunning raspberry colour. I have no idea what they are but they are beautiful and feathery. I do have some in my garden but the slugs ate them this year before they could flower!! Watch out slugs, next year they're mine!!!My blog, this week, for you to take a look at is Martha at A Sense of Humour is Essential. I originally looked at this one as I thought the name was brilliant. As it turns out Martha has teenage boys too so gets where I'm coming from with tales of Samuel!!!!

  8. Your flowers are gorgeous, even if you didn't grow them. Did you know that if you take a small tin container (tuna fish size) and place a small amount of beer in there, place in the garden, the slugs will go to the beer, get caught and die? It's a better solution than pesticides I think, the problem is the clean up!!! I don't like that part, Happy Pink Saturday and the name of your blooms are astilbe.....hope that helps, Char
