What are you reading?

On my first trip to the library this year I brought home with me:
Alice Hartley's Happiness - Philippa Gregory = because it's one of hers I haven't come across before.
Blood Brothers - Josephine Cox = simply because I've not read her before and she had a lot of books on the shelves!!
Her Every Pleasure - Gaelen Foley = it's a period drama so I thought I'd give it a go.

Not mind blowingly fantastic reasons to take out a book but as good a place to start as any :0)

On my to look for list are:
Mixed Signals by Liz Curtis Higgs
The Help by Kathryn Stockett (always out on loan!!)
The Elegance of the Hedgehog by Muriel Barbery
Crow Lake by Mary Lawson

That should keep me going for a while.

  4. I just finished Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet by Jamie Ford. I really enjoyed it. Not sure what I'm going to read next - wanting to read Patti Smith's biography called Just Kids soon...

  6. A while ago I tried experimenting with a different author working my way from A-Z whenever I went to the library to mix things up a bit. I got to discover some great authors I never read before, but never made it all the way through to Z !!!
