Are you working on photoshop? On mine it is the edit tab, select fill and then choose white or whatever colour you want. I keep forgetting but have just had a quick check. Hope this helps
Jo C has the answer for your frame/overlay ... but remember to have the preserve transperancy box checked otherwise the whole thing will change colour!
I haven't quiet figured out how to change the overlay to white so it stands out better. Something else to add to my ever growing "To Do" list!!
