Today was the day that mum went to her final resting place, next to Dad.
I wasn’t able to be there but know that it will have been a lovely service.

We have had a decidedly tough time this past week, with something not related to Mum, and she is the one person I wish I could talk to about it.  She would have known just the right thing to say to make it better, if just for a little while.

I miss her.

  1. Tough time for sure. Nothing I can say will help. You do have the Mother wisdom deep within you. And know that you are been held in others thoughts.

  2. So tell her anyway. Sit in a quiet place where talking out loud won't get you locked up and tell her how much you miss her. You are allowed to be sad, allowed to cry unexpectedly and to snap at people who try to ease your pain - honest, you are allowed. B*gger the stiff upper lip. stiff drink is what is needed. I think the Victorians had it right when they said a year of deep mourning. Sending you some cwtches (hugs with a welsh accent) just to ease you through the bad moments

  3. You'll always miss her - I'm sure she was right there with you when you were thinking of her. X

  4. Getting advice is just one of the things we miss about our moms. Consider yourself hugged.
