Thankful for these Ladies

I am so grateful for these ladies at the moment.  They live on Hopewall Farm in Cheshire and are working hard, producing lots of lovely milk.  The staff there are working hard too and deliveries are still on time.

A huge thank you to DiaryPlus for keeping the deliveries going.

  1. There must be positives that come out of this situation, and I hope that one of those is that we will continue to support - and give proper appreciation - to British farms. I love the fact that communities are pulling together and local businesses are finding ways to either deliver or do 'click and collect'. They really are keeping the country fed and watered!

  2. Maybe I'm sentimental but I like seeing milk bottles on the doorstep. I'm so grateful to our dairy for continuing to provide such a good service with everything that's going on. It can't be easy for them.

  3. There's something comforting in seeing the animals living as they always do. Home delivery for milk!!

I miss being able to drive past our local dairy farm just to see the girls out enjoying their day (the cows). The way our milk is gathered, processed & sold does not allow for home delivery. Our milk is sold mostly in bags, which freeze really well & that's come in handy during these usual times of not being able to get out often.

  4. Milk in bags is such a good idea. It must be really handy when you have a lot of snow and can't get out. The milkman used to be a familiar sight in every home, once upon a time, but as the supermarkets got bigger and milk came in cartons they started to decline. We're just glad we can help British farmers and keep the local diaries in business. Shop local :)
