Me on a Monday - 22 January 2024

You can tell I'm British as I do like to complain about the weather.  It was snowing last week, supposed to be warming up at the weekend and now storm Isha has rolled through town bringing very windy weather with her.  On the plus side we haven't had any damage locally and everything seems to be running as normal.

Not much else of note this week.  The youngest son had his birthday, but didn't want any fuss, so he just went out for a pint with his dad.

I popped in to see my Auntie after she'd had surgery on her knee.  She seems to be coping very well and seemed happy enough with how it had gone.

I changed my hair colour back to it's normal brown.  The blonde was too much high maintenance and the price of highlights has gone up again.  Back to an all over colour I can do myself if needs be.

And lastly I found out today, that I should find out within the next 6 weeks, when my surgery is.  Fingers crossed.  It all seems a little too real now.

And that's all for this week.  Hope you all have a good week, and are safe and sound wherever you are.

  1. Although it is daunting, when you know you are going to have to have surgery, you just want it over and done with so I do hope you don't have too long a wait.
Pleased to hear that you didn't suffer damage with the storm, it does sound as if it were worse 'up north' to how it hit our area. Hurry up spring!

    1. All still intact here after both storms, thankfully. Fingers and toes crossed for an early date for my op.

  2. Lovely photo of you & your hair looks fantastic. Yeah to some good news about your surgery date will be announced soon! Canadians like to talk about the weather a lot, but I do find it interesting that in Britain you name all the storms, ours are just nameless beasts wrecking the place & leaving.

    1. Naming of storms seems to be be big business https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/warnings-and-advice/uk-storm-centre/index
Hope you don't get too many nameless beasts this winter.

    2. Liz thanks for that link. It is an interesting read & I am going to suggest to our Ontario Weather Network the advantage of doing the same! :)
